Rakali also known as the Australian water rat, is a semi-aquatic mammal native to Australia. They are found in a variety of freshwater habitats, including rivers, streams, lakes, and wetlands. Rakalis have a long, streamlined body, webbed feet, and a thick, waterproof coat that helps them to swim and dive underwater. They are excellent swimmers and can hold their breath for up to five minutes. Rakalis are carnivorous and feed on a variety of prey, including fish, crustaceans, and insects.
